How to Make Herb Salt

How to Make Herb Salt

Did you know that, in the 20th century, salt bars were the standard currency of Ethiopia?

The value of salt has been recognized for generations upon generations. Salt can counteract bitter flavors. It also helps release certain molecules in food, bringing out flavors and making food more aromatic.

We discovered a quick and easy recipe to make salt with a herbal twist! It’s awesome to know that all the herbs featured in this recipe can be grown using your very own indoor gardening set.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

Start by removing the thick stems from your dried herbs. Then, use a knife to gently break the sprigs into smaller pieces. Place the pieces in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add salt and pulse again to the blend. Finally, place in an airtight container and cover.
