How To Make Red Shiso Juice
Photo: Peaceful Cuisine
Red Shiso. A beautiful red herb that most of you might not have heard of, with an exotic look and flavor that resembles mint, grapes, blackcurrant and anise. It's for the Japanese what basil is for us. They use in it sushi, wasabi, for pickling, in tea...but our favorite of all is the Red Shiso juice. Sweet, refreshing, and ruby red.
While we simply shoved a bunch of Red Shiso leaves in the juicer, here's a more sophisticated, raw, slow food way to make this mysterious, tempting juice (and a more delicious one at that), delivered to you by Peaceful Cuisine (by the way, you should watch all of their "No music" videos - it's foodie meditation at its finest):
If you do try preparing something with your Red Shiso, drop a post about it on our community forum, so we can check it out as well!
