Mountain Savory: The Tasty Superfood That Will Transform Your Cooking
We’re thrilled to welcome mountain savory (aka winter savory) to our plant pod collection! This herb will become one of your most valuable cooking ingredients. Its peppery flavour has been described by some as a cross between mint and thyme. It complements a variety of meals such as beans, meats, soups, salads, sauces and much more. Mountain savory doesn’t lose its flavor while cooking, making it awesome for slow cooked dishes such as stews. On top of that, it’s a genuine superfood and a natural source of the following:
B vitamins - for helping maintain energy levels, brain function, and cell metabolism
Vitamin A - for healthy function of the heart, lungs, and kidneys
Vitamin C - for a healthy immune system, growth and repair of body tissues
Niacin - for improving cholesterol levels
Thiamin - for enabling the body to use carbohydrates as energy
Pyridoxine - for maintaining the health of nerves, skin and red blood cells
